LAUTECH Mechanical Engineering is one of the foremost Mechanical Engineering programmes in Nigeria and on the African continent. The department has a crop of experienced and internationally exposed faculty members with a wealth of knowledge in general and specialized areas of Mechanical Engineering as well as allied sciences.
Our students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, symbolize the best trained, the smartest and the most innovative. We are contributing to technological advancement in various areas of engineering, including material engineering, industrial engineering, nanotechnology, biofuel and bioenergy, composite materials, thermochemical and biochemical conversion of biomass materials, smart systems design and robotics. We are collaborating with other universities to engage in interdisciplinary research activities and draw on the expertise of a wide range of intellectuals.
